Kingboard Holdings' stock soared 5.11% during the intraday trading session on Friday.
The surge was driven by the company's fourth price increase this year for its copper clad laminate (CCL) products, with laminate materials rising 10% and prepreg materials up 20%, bringing cumulative price hikes to over 40% year-to-date. This reflects persistent global supply-demand tightness in the CCL market, leading to panic purchasing by Korean PCB manufacturers and extended delivery cycles.
Additionally, the AI PCB supply chain is accelerating procurement, with new production capacity aligning with orders for next-generation AI server platforms, supporting long-term growth prospects. Citibank has also raised its target price for Kingboard Holdings, reiterating a Buy rating due to valuation recovery potential.
