Kingboard Holdings' stock surged 5.06% during intraday trading on Thursday, extending its recent strong performance.

The movement follows news that subsidiary Kingboard Laminates issued its fifth price increase notice this year, raising prices on all FR-4 copper clad laminates and PP prepregs by 15%, bringing cumulative price hikes above 50% year-to-date. Simultaneously, the company completed a placement of 155 million Kingboard Laminates shares at HK$76 per share, generating net proceeds of approximately HK$11.766 billion earmarked for PCB business expansion, capacity upgrades in multilayer and HDI printed circuit boards, accelerated R&D, and debt repayment.

Analysts have responded positively, with Citi raising earnings forecasts for the company by 34% to 53%, citing stronger-than-expected electronic fiberglass cloth pricing. The broader industry context includes Middle East conflict disrupting approximately 70% of global high-end PCB core PPE resin supply, while AI computing demand continues to drive copper clad laminate supply-demand tightness, sustaining the industry upcycle.
