On Wednesday, US stocks in the airline, cruise, resort, and casino sectors moved higher, according to market updates. As of the time of writing, United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: UAL) had climbed over 4.6%, while Delta Air Lines Inc (NYSE: DAL) rose more than 3%. Additionally, MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM), Wynn Resorts Ltd (NASDAQ: WYNN), Las Vegas Sands Corp (NYSE: LVS), American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ: AAL), and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NYSE: NCLH) all gained more than 2%, with Carnival Corp (NYSE: CCL) up over 1%.
According to media reports, the upward movement follows news that former President Trump is expected to meet with CEOs from leading travel companies, including representatives from American Airlines, Carnival, and MGM.
