Post-transaction, the company’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) decreased marginally to 6.80 billion, from 6.80 billion previously. Treasury shares rose to 180.21 million, while total issued shares remained unchanged at 6.98 billion. The repurchased shares represent 0.000153% of Midea Group’s pre-transaction issued share base.
Midea stated that the repurchased shares are earmarked for a future reduction of registered share capital. All procedural requirements—including board authorisation and compliance with Shenzhen Stock Exchange regulations—were fulfilled, and the company confirmed receipt of all funds related to the transaction.
