The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that during the first seven months of 2026, China's software and information technology services industry maintained a sound operational performance, with stable revenue growth, steady profit expansion, and positive export momentum.
Official data shows that the sector's combined revenue reached 89,785 billion yuan from January to July, reflecting a 9.2% increase compared to the same period last year. The industry's total profits amounted to 10,396 billion yuan, growing by 1.3% year-on-year. Software exports totaled 40.61 billion US dollars, marking a notable 12.2% uptick.
Revenue from information technology services continued to see double-digit growth, expanding by 10.0% during the period and accounting for 68.7% of the industry's total revenue. Within this segment, cloud computing and big data services registered a combined revenue surge of 12.3%, representing 16.7% of the information technology services total. Integrated circuit design revenue climbed sharply by 21.5%, while e-commerce platform technical services revenue grew at a more moderate pace of 5.1%.
