On September 1st, the Embodied AI Core Components Industry Development Conference and Supply Chain Matchmaking Event took place in Linping Development Zone, Hangzhou. Within the framework of Hangzhou's "296X" advanced manufacturing cluster initiative, Linping is zeroing in on the core components segment of embodied AI robotics, leveraging policy support, platform development, and supply-demand chain matching to foster new productive forces and contribute to Hangzhou's ambition of becoming a leading city for AI innovation.
As one of Hangzhou's nine major hundred-billion-yuan characteristic industry clusters, Linping's embodied AI robotics and intelligent terminal sector is showing remarkable momentum. From January to July 2026, the output value of large-scale industries in the region surged 16.1% year-on-year, while manufacturing investment grew at an extraordinary pace of 105.8%.
Linping District Party Secretary Pan Wei noted that the region is aggressively advancing the construction of an industrial park dedicated to embodied AI core components. The goal is to establish a rapid-response supply chain tailored to the R&D needs of complete machine manufacturers. By connecting key component suppliers across the value chain, Linping aims to cultivate a thriving embodied AI ecosystem at scale. Additionally, to tackle "bottleneck" technologies, the district is deepening collaborations with institutions like Zhejiang University, City University of Hong Kong, and Zhejiang University of Technology, aligning corporate R&D capabilities with real-world application demands.
At the event, Linping unveiled its specialized policy package for embodied AI core components, along with four major action plans, a company capability directory, and a scenario demand list. The policies offer end-to-end backing for businesses, spanning project implementation, technological breakthroughs, platform construction, and real-world applications. Feng Xinpeng, Chairman of Hangzhou Zhaoguan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., praised the measures: "Linping's embodied AI policies are pragmatic and well-targeted, covering everything from project incubation and pilot production to mass manufacturing and after-sales support. They will greatly accelerate the integration and growth of the regional industrial chain."
Talent and capital are pivotal to industrial advancement. The conference also hosted signing ceremonies for joint training of outstanding embodied AI engineers, industry talent development partnerships, and a development fund between Linping District and Hangzhou Capital. Expert appointments for the core components sector were also announced. Furthermore, a public service platform for embodied AI core components, jointly established by Linping and Zhejiang University of Technology, was officially launched.
