During the first seven months of the year, businesses above designated size in Beijing's service sector recorded total operating revenue of 4.3 trillion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
Looking at industry breakdowns, the information transmission, software and information technology services sector, the transportation, warehousing and postal services sector, as well as the leasing and business services sector all sustained revenue growth, with increases of 7.8%, 4.1%, and 3.6% respectively.
In contrast, the real estate industry experienced a 3.2% decline in revenue, largely attributed to ongoing adjustments in the property market.
For the January-to-July period, total profits across all surveyed service enterprises reached 594.38 billion yuan, marking a 10.2% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Due to declining investment returns, the leasing and business services, scientific research and technical services, and real estate sectors all saw their profit growth rates taper off. Meanwhile, influenced by leading enterprises, the information transmission, software and information technology services sector, along with the culture, sports and entertainment sector, experienced some fluctuation in their growth momentum.
