Recently, the Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration, together with the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Association and Gansu Jinweide Lanzhou Beef Noodle Cultural Industry Company, organized a research team to visit Gangu County in Tianshui and Wudu District and Xihe County in Longnan. The team conducted field research on the production and supply of chili peppers and peppercorns, and discussed cooperation for direct supply of raw ingredients for Lanzhou beef noodles, aiming to promote the coordinated development of specialty industries in the two regions.

The research team visited the standardized chili planting bases and processing enterprises in Gangu County, the Supply and Marketing E-commerce Company in Xihe County, as well as the peppercorn sales market and several processing enterprises and professional cooperatives in Wudu District. They inspected the planting management, processing, and graded storage of chili peppers and peppercorns, and gained detailed insights into planting scale, output value, quality standards, and market prices. Meanwhile, they held discussions with local government departments, industry associations, leading enterprises, and peppercorn farmer representatives, engaging in in-depth exchanges on raw material quality requirements, supply guarantee capabilities, and production-sales connection mechanisms.

The research revealed that Gangu chili peppers and Wudu peppercorns are both national geographical indication products, featuring large planting scales, high standardization levels, and outstanding quality advantages. Wudu's peppercorn planting area remains stable at 1 million mu, with its acreage, output, and quality ranking among the top peppercorn-producing counties nationwide. Gangu chili peppers and Xihe peppercorns also boast stable base scales and mature processing systems, making them well-suited to serve as high-quality dedicated raw material bases for Lanzhou beef noodles.

During the visit, the research team held special negotiations with relevant parties in Longnan on the supply of raw ingredients for Lanzhou beef noodles. All parties agreed that the Lanzhou beef noodle industry, given its large scale, numerous outlets, and high standards, requires stringent quality and stable supply of core seasoning ingredients such as chili peppers and peppercorns. With the excellent quality and ample supply of Longnan peppercorns and Gangu chili peppers, the two sides share a solid foundation for cooperation and clear complementary advantages. After full consultation, all parties reached a consensus on establishing a strategic cooperation mechanism featuring direct supply from production areas, brand complementarity, and in-depth cooperation. Plans were made to deepen collaboration in raw material base certification, order-based purchasing, quality traceability, and brand promotion, with the goal of achieving a closed-loop direct supply chain linking production bases with noodle restaurant terminals.

At the negotiation meeting, the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Association signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Longnan Peppercorn Industry Association and two enterprises including Dongying Agricultural and Sideline Products Co., Ltd. Additionally, the Gansu Jinweide Beef Noodle Cultural Industry Group signed agreements with three enterprises including the Baicaocheng Planting Professional Cooperative in Wudu District. The Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration stated it will continue to follow up on cooperation coordination, facilitate the implementation of strategic agreements for industrial development, and provide precise services in standard setting, quality supervision, and brand cultivation based on its functions. These efforts aim to support the creation of a provincial model of agricultural-catering linkage and integrated production-supply-marketing cooperation, providing strong support for the high-quality development of the Lanzhou beef noodle industry.
