To accommodate attendees of large-scale concerts in Hohhot, the railway authorities will introduce two additional "fan trains" on the evening of September 6th, ensuring convenient return trips for concertgoers after the events.
The first service, the D6971 train, will depart from Hohhot East Station at 23:12, making stops at Hohhot Station, Baotou East Station, and Baotou Station, before arriving at Bayannur Station at 01:45 the following day. The second, the C4497 train, will leave Hohhot East Station at 23:30, with scheduled stops at Hohhot, Tuoketuo East, Jungar, and Dongsheng East stations, reaching Ordos Station at 01:54 the next morning.
Tickets for these two special fan trains are slated to go on sale starting at 11:00 AM on September 2nd. To guarantee a smooth nocturnal journey for fans, the railway department has coordinated with concert organizers and local transportation authorities to monitor ticket sales data, assess travel demand, and devise a dedicated passenger transport plan.
Looking ahead, the Hohhot Railway Bureau will continue to monitor passenger flow trends linked to major cultural and tourism events such as concerts, music festivals, and sports competitions. The bureau plans to flexibly introduce more customized trains—including services tailored for fans, senior citizens, and study tours—to further integrate railway services with the tourism industry and better satisfy the public's travel needs.
