Kong Weiran has been officially appointed as Vice Governor of the Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, according to a recent government announcement.

On September 1, 2026, the 36th session of the Standing Committee of the 15th People's Congress of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province made the formal appointment decision.

Kong Weiran, a female official of the Zhuang ethnic group, was born in September 1977. She holds a master's degree and is a member of the Communist Party of China. She currently serves as a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Wenshan Prefecture People's Government and Vice Governor of the prefecture.
