Simcere Pharmaceutical Group Limited (Simcere Pharma) disclosed to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that 27.50 million ordinary shares repurchased earlier in the year were formally cancelled on 8 June 2026.
The cancellation reduced the outstanding share count to 2.57 billion from 2.60 billion, representing a 1.06% contraction in issued capital. Prior to the move, the company had 2.60 billion shares outstanding as of 31 May 2026.
The repurchased shares were acquired in 15 on-market transactions executed between 12 January and 22 May 2026. Individual buyback sizes ranged from 0.48 million to 4.43 million shares, at prices spanning HKD 10.49–11.83 per share. The largest single tranche involved 4.43 million shares bought on 16 January 2026.
Management confirmed that all repurchases were duly authorised by the board and complied with Hong Kong listing rules and relevant legal requirements. Following the cancellations, Simcere Pharma now has 2.57 billion ordinary shares in issue and holds no treasury shares.
