A Suzhou concert went viral on September 1st after fans claimed a two-hour show featured nearly 80 minutes of downtime. One attendee posted a video showing that the performance at the Suzhou Sports Center had lengthy breaks after each artist finished, sparking widespread debate online.

The show, branded as the "Youth Super Live Concert," featured four singers: Huang Ling, Hu Xia, Alec Su, and Jeff Chang. The audience member noted that the intermissions lasted 20 minutes, then 10 minutes, and finally 5 minutes, complaining that the organizers failed to manage the pacing properly between acts.

Although the viewer initially estimated the total breaks at 80 minutes, they later clarified that the figure was an exaggeration and that the actual downtime was closer to 40 minutes. Still, the criticism found traction online, with multiple fans taking to the ticketing platform Damai to voice similar frustrations.

Several concertgoers echoed the complaints on Damai, stating that the three transitions between artists took more than 40 minutes combined, with one fan describing a 20-minute awkward pause that ruined the overall experience. According to Damai's event listing, the show was supposed to last at least 150 minutes and include a minimum of 24 songs, with tickets priced from 288 yuan for the grandstand to 888 yuan for the inner floor area.

The concert has since been removed from the platform. In response to the backlash, the Suzhou Culture and Tourism Bureau acknowledged the incident and said it has taken note of the feedback. Meanwhile, the organizer, "Zheng Qing Chun Culture," defended its scheduling, explaining that the four artists required three separate stage changes, and since three of them performed with full bands, the equipment adjustments took roughly 30 minutes in total.
