On September 2, Municipal Party Secretary Yang Zhengkun chaired a dedicated symposium focused on advancing the city's agricultural export sector, aiming to directly address corporate challenges and gather feedback to transform industrial resource advantages into export competitiveness. The meeting marks a pivotal step toward accelerating the region's outward-oriented agriculture development.
Based on earlier county-level field research, the symposium invited nine leaders from agricultural export enterprises to participate in in-depth discussions, offering a comprehensive overview of current export conditions. Business representatives highlighted specific concerns related to customs clearance procedures, transportation logistics, financial and tax policy guidance, and land use for cold-chain infrastructure.
Secretary Yang, supported by relevant municipal department heads, provided on-the-spot responses and detailed policy interpretations for each issue raised, working to remove key bottlenecks that have hindered enterprise development. The interactive format underscored the government's commitment to fostering a more supportive business climate.
Yang emphasized that all relevant departments must elevate their focus on agricultural exports, improve communication mechanisms with companies, and innovate policies that better serve industry growth and business operations. He called for a shift from resolving individual cases to systematically addressing broader categories of issues, thereby creating a favorable environment for enterprise success.
The Secretary also urged businesses to thoroughly study national and provincial policies, as well as regulations in target export countries, to enhance their quality and safety management standards. He encouraged companies to pursue legal compliance and focus on scaling up their operations responsibly.
Yang further instructed departments to diligently fulfill their responsibilities, strengthen coordination, and advance the modernization of the agricultural industrial system. Key priorities include emphasizing export product quality standards, brand cultivation, market pricing mechanisms, cold-chain logistics, and high-value-added segments of the supply chain. Additionally, he stressed the importance of accelerating efforts to fill gaps in agricultural production services and actively cultivating strong market players, with increased support for leading enterprises.
A problem-oriented approach must be maintained to pragmatically resolve existing issues and boost corporate confidence. Yang also underscored the necessity of supervision and inspection to ensure timely implementation of all policy measures. Fang Ling attended the meeting.
