Organized under the guidance of central and military authorities, the competition encompasses a range of events, including intelligent unmanned systems applications, national defense skills challenges, and themed speech contests. It serves as an authoritative platform designed to promote defense knowledge, sharpen practical abilities, and cultivate a spirit of scientific innovation in support of military strength.

The 14 qualifiers represent a complete educational pipeline across Lincang, spanning from primary school through high school. The fact that students from multiple grade levels and institutions reached the national stage is a clear reflection of the region's comprehensive, routine, and long-term approach to defense literacy.

In recent years, Lincang has remained committed to its mission of nurturing talent for the Party and the nation, firmly embracing the principle that a strong nation requires a strong military. The city has placed youth national defense education at the core of its ideological and political teaching efforts, using competitions as a means to promote learning, training, and holistic development. Defense knowledge, patriotic values, and technological innovation have been deeply woven into moral education, science and technology programs, and practical training across all school levels. Regular activities such as themed defense education, hands-on drills, and skill contests have consistently reinforced students' passion for national defense and solidified their foundational literacy in this area.
