Equinix Partners with NVIDIA and Together AI to Launch Advanced AI Inference Exchange Ecosystem

Equinix has unveiled its new distributed artificial intelligence framework, the Equinix Inference Exchange, in a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA and Together AI. This initiative combines NVIDIA's enterprise reference architecture, Together AI's open-source model platform, and Equinix's global data center infrastructure to create a unified AI inference ecosystem.

Under this framework, Equinix will be responsible for delivering the essential physical infrastructure, including power, cooling systems, and network connectivity via its Equinix Fabric. NVIDIA will contribute its enterprise-grade reference architecture and AI computing capabilities specifically tailored for inference workloads, while Together AI will supply its inference platform, which supports a vast library of over 200 open-source models.

The Equinix Inference Exchange is scheduled for its official commercial launch in the first quarter of 2027, marking a significant step forward in the distributed deployment of AI inference solutions across global markets.
