Starting from September 5th, for two consecutive weekends, large-scale concerts will be held at the Rose Stadium in the Lanzhou Olympic Sports Center. To accommodate the travel needs of citizens and passengers during these events, Lanzhou Rail Transit will extend the operating hours of Line 1, specifically for the Chenguanying to Donggang direction, while Line 2's schedule will remain unchanged.
On the evenings of September 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th, the service time for Line 1 towards Donggang will be extended by two hours. The final train departure from Chenguanying will be pushed back from its usual 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM the following morning. The operating schedule for trains traveling from Donggang towards Chenguanying will not be affected.
To handle the post-concert return flow, the Olympic Sports Center station, serving the direction towards Donggang, will adjust train departure times flexibly based on when the event ends and real-time passenger volumes. Trains will depart as soon as they are filled to capacity.
In preparation for the significant passenger surge expected after the concerts, backup trains will be positioned at multiple points along Line 1. These additional trains will be deployed as needed to boost the overall operational capacity and improve transit efficiency on the line.
Furthermore, the Olympic Sports Center station will increase the number of service guides and equipment maintenance staff. If temporary crowd control measures are implemented at the station, citizens and passengers are advised to follow the instructions of on-site personnel and queue in an orderly manner when entering the station.
This service adjustment is timed to coincide with the Lanzhou leg of the Joker Xue "King of Beasts" concert tour, which is scheduled to hold four performances in a row on September 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th.
