MANYCORE TECH (00068) spiked nearly 13% in early trading on Wednesday, last changing hands at HK$9.225, up 9.82%, with turnover reaching HK$29.07 million.

The surge follows the company's first interim results since its listing. Revenue for the first half came in at RMB 405 million, with gross margins climbing to a record 83%. Adjusted net profit surged 211% year-on-year to RMB 55.42 million, nearly matching the full-year figure from last year.

What's drawing the market's attention is the 177% year-on-year growth in revenue from AI-enabled applications and new products during the period. This underscores that MANYCORE TECH's strategy to build a spatial intelligence infrastructure is materializing, with commercialization accelerating at a faster clip.

On the operational front, orders for SpatialVerse—its offering designed to support physical AI training—have already surpassed the total for the entire previous year during the first half. SpatialVerse has secured partnerships with domestic players in physical AI, including AgiBot, Galaxy General, Chongjie Intelligence, and Hesai, while also forging close industrial and academic collaborations with several overseas tech giants.

In a separate development, MANYCORE TECH has been officially added to the Hang Seng Composite Index, with the change set to take effect on September 7, 2026. Inclusion in the Hang Seng Composite Index is a key prerequisite for becoming a target under the Stock Connect scheme, which means both passive fund allocation and improved southbound liquidity could be on the horizon.
