ByteDance has reportedly announced new policies for employees participating in its Doubao share program during a recent briefing. According to sources, the company has increased the price of Doubao shares from $14.85 per share in June to $17.02 per share, marking a growth of approximately 14.6%.
The updated policy also includes an expansion in the allocation of Doubao shares, with the amount varying by individual. In some cases, employees may receive Doubao shares equivalent to around 5% of their total compensation package. Employees now have the flexibility to adjust the proportion of Doubao shares within their overall package, opting to convert a portion of their cash compensation into Doubao shares. The maximum allocation ratio available varies based on factors such as job level, with options including 20% and 30%.
Regarding the conversion of Doubao shares, individual limits differ. For instance, some employees at L2 and L3 levels can select a maximum allocation ratio of 20%, while certain L3 and L4 employees may have higher ceilings of 25% or 30%.
