KBH signals over HK$2.70 billion interim profit, up more than 4%, on 200% surge in laminates earnings

Kingboard Holdings Limited (KBH) released a positive profit alert indicating that unaudited net profit for the six months ended 30 June 2026 will exceed HK$2.70 billion, representing year-on-year growth of more than 4 percent.

The improvement is driven primarily by the laminates segment, where reporting-period profit is expected to expand by more than 200 percent versus the same period in 2025. Management attributes the jump to robust market demand and tighter supply for laminates and key upstream inputs—electronic fibreglass yarn, electronic fibreglass fabric and copper foil—which lifted selling prices and sales volumes.

Conversely, the investment segment is set to post an estimated loss of about HK$0.50 billion. KBH notes that subsequent market recovery has already restored this segment’s performance to a level above the HK$1.30 billion profit recorded in the first half of 2025, although that rebound falls outside the current reporting window.

The board highlights KBH’s vertically integrated model as a key factor supporting profitability amid industry supply constraints. The interim results remain subject to finalisation, audit and board review, with full details scheduled for release on 24 August 2026.

Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in KBH securities until the formal interim announcement is published.
