Boeing (BA) and its largest white-collar union, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees Association, will resume contract negotiations, Reuters reported Monday.
The report said the move follows the rejection of Boeing's latest offer by the union's roughly 17,000 members.
Workers are seeking larger immediate wage increases, higher performance-based raises and better cost-of-living adjustments, Reuters said.
The current contract expires Oct. 6, Reuters said, adding that a strike could further delay certification of Boeing's 737 MAX 10 and 777-9.
Boeing did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
