Nokia (NOK) has opened a research and development center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on developing AI-powered network automation software for customers, the company said Tuesday.
The software will allow communications networks to self-configure, self-heal, optimize performance, reduce energy consumption and operate with greater autonomy, it said.
Nokia also said it plans to explore AI-native 6G technologies through the new facility.
