Manulife Prices $750 Million Subordinated Bond Offering

Manulife Financial (HKG:0945) priced a U.S. public offering of $750 million in aggregate principal amount of subordinated notes due 2041 at par, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The notes will bear a fixed annual interest rate of 6.146% through Sept. 11, 2036, after which the rate will reset to the CMT rate plus a spread of 1.350%.

The notes are expected to be issued on Sept. 11, 2026.

Manulife intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including potential future refinancing requirements.
