Apple (AAPL) has claimed that OpenAI is destroying crucial evidence in its legal case against the ChatGPT maker over alleged theft of trade secrets, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing a court filing.

The tech giant said former iPhone engineer Chang Liu, who left Apple for OpenAI in January, "not only downloaded a confidential Apple circuit schematic but also used it in his work" at the AI company, according to the media outlet.

Apple and OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
