MiniMed (MMED) reported a breakeven in fiscal Q1, compared with a loss a year earlier, as net sales jumped more than forecast.

Shares advanced 10%, with intraday trading volume rising to more than 3.2 million from a daily average of about 1.2 million.

Sono Group (SSM) and Sports One signed a nonbinding letter of intent to combine, aiming to create a publicly traded company that would acquire minority stakes in NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL franchises alongside a sports intelligence business.

GoPro (GPRO) and optical-photonics company Starman Optical said Tuesday they have signed a definitive merger agreement. Under the terms of the deal, GoPro shareholders will receive $1.14 per share, for a total of $285 million in cash, and will retain an estimated 10% stake in the combined company.

Shares soared 41% as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 436 million from a daily average of about 9 million.
